Michigan-based but will travel worldwide
My story begins back in high school, when a name popped into my head - The Northern Story. I remember drawing logos and having fun with branding for the name in old notebooks. I had no idea why or what I would do with it at the time, but I kept it for the future. After a few years, my passion for photography grew and I knew exactly what I would use that name for. In 2018, I made it official and launched my professional photography business.
I photograph primarily weddings, but I also have a heart for families, and the important milestones of life. I believe that we are all beautifully and wonderfully made. That marriage is a sacred union. The joy that I have is because the spirit of God lives inside of me. Because of this, it’s truly an honor for me to celebrate your love, marriage, and families. Maybe we don’t share the same beliefs, but that doesn’t change the fact that I want to meet you, to know you, and help you cherish your story through photos. Ultimately, I am here to capture the story of you.
It’s exciting for me to say that we are a husband-wife team! I get to do almost every wedding alongside my husband, so if you book The Northern Story, you just might meet Nate too.
My style is playful and emotional. My colors lean into earth tones. My approach is documentary-ish, but I’m still there to guide you as needed so you feel confident and comfortable. I would describe myself as a chill-extrovert. I love to laugh, to be amongst family and friends, to walk in the woods, to drink a good cup of coffee, and to get out on that dance floor.
